Self powered exit signs look pretty identical. The only variables are the background stencil color and whether the unit is single or double sided. Though some models last longer than others, you would not be able to tell just by looking at the sign.

Frame Colors
Our standard SL signs are built with a robust die-cast aluminum housing with a clear polycarbonate lens protecting the exit face. The outer edge, or frame, comes standard with an unpainted brushed aluminum finish. Customized frames will help direct people's eyes to the sign face.

- Bronze
- Custom colors*
Face Color
When constructing these self powered exit signs, a stencil is placed between the glowing tritium tubes and the polycarbonate lens. This stencil contains the knocked-out 'exit' lettering with two universal chevron knockouts on either side.

During the day, tritium will appear very faint, so the stencil outline is a very important component of the sign. UL mandates only certain colors be used that contrast and enhance the neon-green tritium glow.

Model Type
Single-Sided Signs - Ideal for surface mounted signs above doors or on walls pointing to the nearest egress door. Exit legend is on one side, an aluminum backplate is on the reverse.
Double-Sided Signs - Perfect for T-junction hallways where occupants on either side converge to exit the building. Exit legend is on either side of the unit.
