Overview
Self powered exit signs are a great choice when you need a low-maintenance, non-electric and fully compliant exit solution. However, certain cities in South Dakota including Rapid City, Sioux Falls and Aberdeen have varying fire and building code requirements regarding emergency fixtures. That is why we have developed the South Dakota self luminous exit sign, applicable for buildings across the state.
The SL-SD uses tritium gas contained in phosphor-coated tubes to generate a constant internal illumination. Unlike signs with emergency batteries, the South Dakota self luminous exit signs will operate far longer than the 90 minute UL minimum during a prolonged power failure.
These fixtures are now widely used in commercial shipping along the river and along the banks of Lake Oahe.

Single or Double-Faced - choose either a single or double sided model. Each comes with an applicable mounting bracket.
Frames - choose black, bronze or white outer frame.
Housing - select custom ABS thermoplastic or sloped vandal-proof housing. If no option is chosen, you will receive the standard brushed-aluminum housing.
Swivel Pendant Kits - to hang from high or angled ceilings. Available in 12", 24", 36", or 48" pendants.
