The Tritium Exit Sign requires none of those because it uses a radioactive isotope of hydrogen called tritium to self-power this fixture. This means there are no components that can malfunction or battery pack tests to perform every month and year.
Once this fixture is properly installed, it requires no maintenance for its entire lifespan. If a 20 year fixture is purchased, that means the Tritium Exit Sign will still be illuminating "EXIT" in bright green nearly two decades from now. Not only is this fixture convenient, it is also cost effective. An electrician does not need to be hired to install it and battery packs never have to be replaced.
The thermoplastic housing and shatter-proof borosilicate glass tube that houses the tritium ensures safe and reliable illumination. This fixture is UL 924 listed, meaning it is approved for use in the United States and Canada.
Illumination Technology

Construction
This Tritium Exit Sign comes with a black face and is housed in durable thermoplastic that protects internal components. The tritium gas is kept safe by borosilicate glass tubes. These are completely shatter-proof, ensuring tritium will not leak because of moderate abuse. It is also possible to customize this fixture with a white or red frame.
Application
